Battlefield 4 second screen features will not support PS3 and Xbox 360, EA has made known.
The revelation means gamers on current-gen platforms will not be able to use Battlefield 4′s ‘Battlescreen’ – a stats screen that displays a mini-map of the battlefield and match details on a tablet.
Battlelog assistant producer Jesper Nielsen explained the situation to Engadget.
“It’s going to be a lot easier for us to actually update things from the in-game Battlelog than would otherwise be the case,” he says. “You’d have to do patches normally; here we can actually do things almost by the flick of a finger.”
Will Commander Mode be exclusive to PS4 and Xbox One also? That too, is unknown.
Battlefield 4 goes on sale October 29th and November 1st in the U.S. and Europe respectively , on PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, Xbox One and PC.
