Star Wars: Battlefront III is “well into development”

EA Labels president Frank Gibeau gives new bits of info regarding DICE’s upcoming revival of the acclaimed multiplayer shooter franchise, Star Wars: Battlefront. During EA’s FY14 Q1 earning call, Gibeau said:

“We showed 22 seconds of where we’re going with it and the fan response was very positive. The DICE team is well into development on that product already, so we feel very bullish about our shooter rotation over the next several years.”

The game also “has a third-person component to it”, according to Gibeau, meaning it will probably feature both first and third-person view cameras, like its predecessors.
