Sony’s given some new PS4 details at its developers meeting at GDC, revealing, among other things, that when the console arrives, gamers will be able to increase the friends limit past 100, and will be encouraged to use their real names, although the latter’s optional.When you select a game from the PlayStation Network, you’ll be taken to a page showing comments left by your friends about it. This will also apply for DLC. From there, you’ll be taken to the game.
Other notable features, courtesy Polygon:
-Using your real name on your PSN ID will be optional, but if you link your Facebook with the PSN, your real name goes.
-The friend limit will be increasing on the PS4 from the current limit of 100.
-Users spectating can send the player comments while watching
-The color of the light bar on the controller will indicate which player slot a person is occupying. Blue for 1, red for 2, green for 3 and pink for 4.
-Holding down the share button takes a screenshot.
PlayStation 4 will be released holiday 2013.
