Microsoft Wants To “Kill Sony” At E3

Microsoft Wants To “Kill Sony” At E3

Sony will die an ungodly death at the hand of Microsoft at E3 2013 according to Craig Davidson, Director of Global Marketing at Microsoft.

And how will Microsoft accomplish this? Well, we’re not sure – but the only way I can see Microsoft “killing” Sony, is if the company manages to steal away every single blockbuster title. I’m talking about Battlefield 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts, whatever Rockstar and Take-Two are showing, etc.. And then Sony would need to completely flop its own show if Microsoft is to stand a chance at “killing” the PlayStation brand.

In fact, it’s impossible, but with such grandiose talk, one must conclude that Microsoft is bringing the big guns on June 10th, something it must do after the abysmal showing that was the Xbox One’s reveal.

Davidson laid down the gauntlet in an interview with IGN Spain (spotted by NeoGAF), and added that “Xbox One will surprise the world at E3.”

This is going to be one heaven of a show. The biggest E3 ever? It’s only two weeks away. Get hyped!

I still wouldn’t buy it right away! MS can say all they want and even if they do get exclusives like Respawn’s new game, whoopy! I’m not interested in a system that I have to have always connected, that can basically spy on me, charges me, on top of paying for Netflix and Hulu Plus, to watch those by having to have a gold membership! Maybe come E3 I can whistle a different tune, but I’m not holding my breath. We know talk is cheap and MS is no exception.

That and their track record with new technology failures….I will wait for sure.

Here’s to hoping they bring their A game to E3.

i think it is all talk and rhetoric. after e3 yeah there will be some impressive games, but i highly doubt that Sony will be hurt much. I mean Microsoft has a lot of backpedalling to do just to get back to where they were before the xbone reveal, then they will need to bring a lot of big guns to the table in order to get back on the same footing as Sony whom i think will be coming out swinging this round. it won’t be like this generation where they threw in as much tech and charged as much as they wanted and assumed everyone would buy it (since the ps3 has now outsold the 360 maybe they were right). This time they know they are the underdog, they lost previous exclusives like final fantasy and grand theft auto, their own exclusives like killzone and uncharted just don’t sell as well as Microsoft’s do. they need to work to get back on top.

There is no reason to buy an XBOXone unless you are a tool or are just clueless.
