PC Gamers Want Crysis Only On PC, Says Crytek

A selfish bunch? I don’t think so, but Crytek’s Rasmus Højengaard believes Crysis PC fans never really wanted their beloved game to be on consoles, and he said Crytek understands why.

“PC players, fundamentally only want Crysis to be on PC, right? And, you know, that’s kind of understandable when you consider how the original game – and even Crytek itself – started out,” Højengaard told Spong.

“But, we’re definitely pushing this game a lot from a visual standpoint, and for sure there’s going to be visual goodies in it that you can only get if you have a super-high-end PC.

At the same time, we want to ensure if you don’t have a super-high-end PC, the game will still look amazing. On top of that, we want to make sure the experience is not different from platform to platform.”

Crysis 3 will see a release next Spring on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. The first game saw a release on PSN and Xbox Live last year after Crysis 2′s release on PS3 and 360.

of course they want it only on PC, the whole point of crysis and crytek was to show off the worlds most powerful hardware.
you just cant do that if your developing for consoles too you might as well make 2 totally different games!
a crytek game on consoles is like Ferrari saying were world famous for making supercars, so now lets scrap that and become famous for making the worlds cheapest cars!
if crytek are not going to be showing the world whats possible with the most powerful hardware available, then whats the point of having crytek?
as point full as hiring a crane to pick up a bag of crisps!

Never got into Crysis 2. The demo killed it for me.

the demo was only for MP should give the campaign a try.
definetly one of the best games released this gen!
