Diablo III Coming To PS3

Activision’s giving rather big hints that the well-established and insanely popular MMO Diablo III might also be released on PS3 alongside PC.

The details comes to us via developer Blizzard website, on its careers page, seeking experienced game developers to work on Diablo III for consoles.

Was this the reason the game was delayed into 2012? We don’t know for sure, but it definitely seems the game will make it onto PS3 at least, as Microsoft’s still very tight when it comes to allowing MMOs on 360.

Adding fuel to the fire, Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime said” “I think you could make an argument that a game like Diablo might play very well on a console. It’s something that we’re actually doing an investigation into to see if that could make sense.”

It’s all but confirmed, then.

    not only on ps3, if there going to bring it to consoles then it will definitely be for 360 too, and probably the wiiu.
    they should not bother though, no one with consoles keeps them online all the time.
    i remember the backlash crapcom copped when bionic commando rearmed 2 had the constant online requirement……………

    Well there are MMOs running on PS3 now that are doing quite well actually.

    yea but this is not a MMORPG.
    those require you to play online because there online games.
    diablo 3 is not.
    you can play online, pvp if you want to or play alone in the sp campaign.
    so WTFs the point of having the option if you have to go online anyway?
    thats the only reason why i wont be buying it.
    same reason why i refuse to buy any ubisoft games.
    its constantly freaking raining here and every time it does my net goes down and i cant play the games i bloody paid for!
