
Months after PSN suffered a devastating breach, Sony’s taking the situation seriously, and has appointed an ex-Homeland Security Official for a new role to make sure PSN’s safety remain’s top priority.
Philip Reitinger, who was previously the director of the US National Cyber Security Center will be appointed senior vice president at Sony.
His new job will see him live in Washington DC, and will report directly to general counsel Nicole Seligman.
“Certainly the network issue was a catalyst for the appointment,” a Sony rep told Reuters. “We are looking to bolster our network security even further.”
