Team Ninja Considering Ninja Gaiden PS VIta

Ninja Gaiden 3 is due a release on PS3 and Xbox 360 early next year, but when it comes to PS Vita, “of course”, says the team, spurring hope that we might see a portable version of the beloved franchise.

“We’ve received a PlayStation Vita system and are thinking about it,” studio lead Yosuke Hayashi told PlayStation UK in a fan Q&A session.

“Right now we’re focused on Ninja Gaiden 3 for PS3, and after that’s complete we’ll start to look at ideas such as bringing out Ninja Gaiden on PS Vita because of course we’d like to expand the series.”

Hayashi also spoke on the game’s difficulty, a touchy subject among fans, saying they’ve found ways to make it more accessible to casual gamers while keeping core mechanics intact.

“We didn’t want to disappoint all the Ninja Gaiden fans, so the game is still kind of difficult,” he said.

“Having said that, the concept of the Japanese dark hero means that you can choose the difficulty and the style of gameplay you want to use.

So you can play as a hardcore Ninja Gaiden player and fight a lot, or you can focus on the storyline – of course you still have to fight, it’s just that in this case the game is a bit easier.”

He later added that PS Move support was one of the ways they’re trying to attract the casuals, hoping to reel them in for the long haul.

im really starting to get worried about this.
the creator of the series left at the end of 2.
they keep saying were trying to expand the series, and its brauder in other words were dumbing it down to gain more sales.
they removed severing limbs, a staple of the series.
this is looking to be the next DNF!
change is not always a good thing………..
