Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune Looked Surprisingly Like Bioshock In Its Early Stages

A developer at Naughty Dog has confessed that in the early development stages of the first Uncharted game, the similarities with Bioshock were quite striking.

That’s what the co-president of Naughty Dog, Evan Wells told GameInformer recently, especially inside an underwater facility which he compared to Bioshock.

The game remained in that state even when it was pitched to Sony.

The irony of it all had Wells cracking up, apparently. Because Bioshock once took place on a tropical island early in its own development.

hmmmmm, maybe the next setting for a new IP?
i cant see a game like uncharted working in a underwater setting like rapture.
would be interesting to have a different styled game underwater though, more of a raider styled game, and less of a platformer/ cinematic piece.

Yeah – I think the game would suffer.
