PlayStation Store Will Be Back Online In Japan This Coming Wednesday

Can you believe it? Over a month since the PlayStation Store’s been up in the west, and Sony Japan’s yet to get the go-ahead from the government to send the service live. That’s because they go by a different standard in the orient. Things must be secured there. But alas, Wednesday Japanese PS3 gamers will be able to go on the store and do whatever they like.

The July 6 recovery includes all functionality for both PlayStation Network and Sony’s Qriocity service. Members will have access to PlayStation Store, in-game item purchases, product code and PlayStation Network card and ticket use, video functionality through Qriocity, and Media Go.

It’s indeed time to get that Asian PSN account in action once more.

    hopefully there securitys fixed now.
    doubt it though, read a article a few days ago from kasperskys head security officer saying sonys security is outdated and there lack of care for security is really poor.
    kinda scary, considering kaspersky is the worlds leading antivirus software several years running.
    you want your PC secure, you speak to them.
    oh well, all i can say is sony will NEVER be getting my personal let alone financial info ever again!

    Well it’ll be back up tomorrow so I’m sure they’ve done a better job or the government wouldn’t allow it.
