Assassin’s Creed Officially Announced For Wii U, Console “Easy” To Develop For

Ubisoft’s come clean and officially confirm that Assassin’s Creed will make its way onto Nintendo’s Wii U when the console is released next year, adding that the new system was “easy to develop for”.

“The multi-core architecture of the console is a natural fit for our in-house engine,” said Ubisoft’s Marc Parenteau, citing the game’s “huge memory” as something that makes it easy to develop for.

Speaking specifically about Assassin’s Creed, Marc said “all the graphical shaders used in development are fully functional”, which allows Ubisoft to “use assets across platforms with top-notch graphics.”

Marc was not clear on which Assassin’s Creed game would be on the console, whether it be a brand new game or a port, only stating it’ll be “the best Assassin’s Creed experience we can deliver”.

Thanks, VG247.
