Final Fantasy XII-2 Coming To PS3 And 360 This Year, First Trailer Incoming This Thursday

I never saw it coming, but Square-Enix, at a Japanese event, has just announced Final Fantasy XIII-2, a game the company says will be released this year for PS3 and Xbox 360.

The director of FFXIII, Motomu Toriyama, will direct this one also, with Yoshinori Kitase retaining his producer role.

Thing is, the game’s announced for Japan, nothing has been said for the west or anywhere else for that matter. I’m sure it’ll come our at some point, but in the mean time we’ll have to wait.

See the game’s official website here, and expect to see a new trailer this coming Thursday.

To me the big question is will it sell after the massive disappointment that was Final Fantasy XIII? Sure it’ll do great in Japan, and maybe that’s why it’s only being released there initially.

Still, many RPG fans will be happy to hear this.

would not be the first time, look at what bethesda ended up doing with fallout 3.
not all of it would be the DLC, just a good chunk of it.
i find it hard to believe that they made all this DLC, and now there going to throw it away for this.
