Darksiders 2 To Get New Main Character, Same Location As First

What, he wasn’t popular enough? Ah, come on THQ, I was just warming up to the guy, and now you’re changing the face of the game altogether by bringing in some new main protagonist?

Whatever, just give me a great Darksiders 2, and all will be fine.

“When we do the Darksiders sequel, it’ll be a different character and take place simultaneously to the other story,” THQ core games boss Danny Bilson said during his keynote at the IGDA Leadership Forum.”

“There’s only one apocalypse – I couldn’t very well have four different apocalypses, one for each rider. It has some new mechanics and some very robust features that differentiate it a lot and grow it from the first game because you have to build on the first one, you can’t repeat it. I think that’s very important in franchise-building.”

Bilson didn’t say who the new horseman will be, so all we can do now is hope it’s he’s a monster. I meant that.

    it wont be a horsemen he said you wont be playing as one of the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse.
    im liking this idea, show us another side of a story already told, get a second opinion if you will.
    only thing is, they ended the last on a cliffhanger so how can they pick up where the last one left off if this one takes place at the same time?
    dont tell me there going to wait for darksiders 3 to fill in that gap!

    Yeah. I really did enjoyed the first, as you said I would. I’m sure they’ll do better the next time around.

    i hope they make the puzzles a little shorter and give hints.
    the lift puzzle in particular took me over a hour to figure out, was driving me insane!
    but leave the combat alone, i hope the sword war uses returns, o and his horse that was cool!
    i really hope they bring back wars sword though, one of the best weapons i have ever used!
    just felt so big and powerful, my second favorite sword first being the dalihabro from ninja gaiden sigma.
    wish games would have dismemberment in them, thats one of the best parts of NG2 being able to lob enemies limbs off, chop their legs off, chop there arms off than cut them in twain!
    best part of black ops too, using the SPAS shotgun to blow enemies limbs off, than see them grasp the stump at the end of there arm with blood sprouting out.
    yea, thats what you get for shooting at me!
