Did you play Resistance: Fall of Man? If you did, and also played Resistance 2, you’re most likely disappointed with the latter. It wasn’t a bad title, not by a long shot, however it did not live up to expectations, not by a long short. So much was wrong with the game.
But let’s let bygones be bygones, and with hope, look to the future. First, the screens and artwork leaked last week caused optimism to rise within me like a drowning man who’s just seen his rescue boat, and the GameInformer’s November issue cover featuring the highly anticipated shooter left me wanting.
Insomniac took it to heart the noise that was coming from its fanbase concerning the beloved game, and it looks like many things have changed, many things but the most significant seems to be the removal of Hale as the main protagonist.
It’s all interesting stuff.
Here’s the quote taken directly from Insomniac Games website:
“The new Game Informer issue will be hitting mailboxes and newsstands starting next week. Inside you will find an information blowout on campaign, the new main character, locales, weapon systems, and more!”
I’m sure you didn’t miss what’s boldly highlighted in that quote, the only question now’s who will it be? Many assume it’s Capelli but I have the feeling we’re in for a big surprise.
Well, soon enough we’ll know, but that doesn’t mean we can’t speculate!

Well a bullet to the head usually results in death. No surprises. I actually enjoyed R2 more than I thought I would (after all the bad talk on the net). Looking foward to this.
Yeah, it’s actually one of my most anticipated titles for next year. I really loved the first.

just because he was shot doesn’t mean hes dead, he could come back i mean hes basically come back from stuff from both games that made players think he was dead

i am not sure about him coming back. A bullet to the brain pretty much does it. I was expecting a new main character anyway. I think it will be good.
Also, I think they are going to make this one more from a survivors point of view. Such as his whole platoon was just massacred and he is trying to stay alive, or a normal person trying to stay alive. It may even be from the stand point of a group of survivors making a journey to some where. I am very interested in seeing what is going to happen.

@RedBull: Some good points you make there…I’ll be very interesting to see how the story unfolds, because even if Hale is not coming back, I’d love to know what really happened to him.

he will probably be the main baddie in R3.
i really hope R3 takes place in the chimera home planet though, like KZ2 did show us the other side of the war.
i remember reading a few months ago that R3 would have 2 campaigns, one on earth and one on the chimera home planet.

would explain why insomniac are taking so long too, they normally release a game a year but they have been working on R3 for 2 years now.

Hale as the main Baddie, hmmm, never thought of it that way. I guess they could justify him coming back to life by selling his soul to the devil, I mean, like nick said, he did turn evil.
I wouldn’t mind fighting an Evil Hale as the “main baddie”. I wouldn’t mind that at all.

he got corrupted at the end, remember you run through the final level with those really cool powers blowing every enemy to dust?
thats why cappeli had to shoot him, because hale did not get his shots and the virus took over his body, turning him into a chimera.
you have to go play retribution ernice, by far the BEST PSP game!

that, syphon filter logans shadow and syphon filter broken mirror are by far the best PSP games.
