Video Thirst: Black Ops Wager Match Trailer

by Ernice Gilbert on September 2nd, 2010, under Activision, Hot, News, Treyarch

Call of Duty, you’ve heard of it, right? The best selling FPS franchise ever forged is about to go at another record yet again. From what we’ve seen in the past and what you’re about to witness past the break, be warned, Black Ops is a beast.

You know you will buy the game doesn’t matter how much you hate its publisher, Activision.

Treyarch, Black Ops developer, has been rather tight lipped about the game’s multiplayer offerings, but during a press event, some information was let loose.

The game is radical.

Video Thirst:

In the vid, some multiplayer offerings are explained. First, bots for those who don’t like killing real people. It’s called Combat Training and it’s equipped with its own progression system. So, for the people who hate hearing kids and girls cry when getting shot on Xbox Live and PSN, it’s for you.

Apart from Combat Training, four new modes are accessible in the game, however, only two were demoed last night. They include “Sticks and Stones” and “Gun Game.”

In Sticks And Stones, everyone’s equipped with crossbows and knives, no guns. Gun Game on the other hand, a mode the developer says basically derived from the community, will give players different guns as they progress.

Then there’s gun customization, allowing gamers to “pimp” their tools of mass destruction to suit their personal style.

Quench it:

Nice vid indeed. Just know doesn’t matter what happens, Black Ops will sell like canned food in time of famine.

i wonder if the dispute with IW will have a effect on this game, and following COD titles.
treyarch does not have a very good track record, and there fan base is minuscule in comparison to IWs so will be interesting to see what happens.
to be honest im not expecting this to be any better than MW2, if it is not by much, if it is allot better than MW2 ill be shocked!

    I don’t think it’ll beat MW2 at all.

    absolutely no way in hell!
    sales wise, no chance!
