Steve Ballmer; semicolon’s right after his name for many reasons. He’s the head of the wealthiest company in the world, which also means he’s ultimately the boss of the giant’s Zune and Xbox divisions. And recently he’s been talking, saying things, things that might concern you…they concern me; but in a very decent fashion: in the future, there might be new designs for the (I hope) existing Xbox 360.
Speaking at the University of Washington during a Q&A session, he said a few things concerning large screen TVs and Microsoft’s hardware strategy:
“For that big screen device … there’s no diversity. You get exactly the Xboxes that we build for you. We may have more form factors in the future that are designed for various price points and options, but we think it’s going to [be] important.”
I’m sure that cloud gaming is a part of Redmond’s gaming future, what I’m not certain about is how and when exactly will these new versions of the Xbox 360 be made available. Engadget argues Ballmer may be talking about Slimmer versions of the Xbox 360, or one with Natal built right in. But whatever it is, it’ll be hot news, and great for the industry.
We’ll keep you posted.

Hmm…. I don’t think they’ll build a model with natal built right into the hardware…. I think they’ll sell it as a standalone, and wait for the next console to have it built right in. I say as soon as a slim 360 is announced I’d give it a year until we see the next gen hardware for Microsoft. Of course this is just my thoughts no facts at all.
