According a recent press release from Capcom, they are celebrating the release of the new ‘Final Fight: Double Impact’ by having us gamers color in the “box” art for the title. The prizes include stuff like a free copy of the game, a copy of your poster. Oh yeah, and a free trip to New Orleans and the ability to take part in Capcom’s ‘Captivate’ show. Now if only my artist skills were actually good.
“Color of Conflict — We’re handing creative control of the final “box” art for the upcoming digital title, Final Fight: Double Impact, over to the fans. By downloading a black and white copy of the extraordinary illustration provided by famed artist Alvin Lee (available at http://www.capcom-unity.com/ and http://www.finalfightgame.com/), the artists of the gaming community can color it in any way they want and submit it to us for a chance to win an awesome prize! That’s right, we’re letting our fans finish the art for one of our games. The winning illustration will be featured with the final release!”
“One grand prize winner will receive an all-expenses paid trip for two to New Orleans, where they’ll have the opportunity to take part in Capcom’s exclusive Captivate event. The winner and guest will experience first-hand our amazing new games and spend time with Capcom staff. On top of all this, they’ll receive a poster of their beautiful work, a free copy of the game, and additional swag from the event. For details, including the fantastic art that will need to be colored, check out this post at Capcom Unity: http://www.capcom-unity.com/mr2nique/blog/2010/01/06/announcing_final_fight:_double_impact_-_color_of_conflict_contest! And remember, Final Fight: Double Impact hits Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 digital stores this coming April.”
