Call of Duty has the most addictive and populated online community in gaming. It, along with Halo, revolutionized the way we play shooters, and how we look at the multiplayer component of games today. And while it’s good that developers have acknowledged the importance of online interaction, Gearbox Software’s Randy Pitchford doesn’t feel it is important to copy Call of Duty in an effort to be successful. Because according to him, what if the Call of Duty formula becomes boring? What will we do? What if the COD guys screw it up?
