Earlier this month, EA revealed a list of retailers that its upcoming shooter, Battlefield 3 will be available on. Steam was not present, and although many thought this was a move to give EA’s newly launched Origin service some legs, the game has showed up on other outlets including GameStop’s digital service amongst others. So what’s the deal? Well, you can count Battlefield 3 on Steam out, as confirmed by financial research firm Baird which is believed to have held a meeting with GameStop executives, where the news was confirmed.
