Microsoft To Early Xbox One Adopters: Thanks, But We Can’t Help You

Microsoft To Early Xbox One Adopters: Thanks, But We Can’t Help You

Microsoft announced last Friday that it was permanently cutting the price of Xbox One in the UK from £429.99 to £399.99, and anyone who purchased a console moving forward would receive a downloadable copy of Titanfall free of charge (though that particular deal may be limited to a Titanfall bundle). That didn’t sit too well with early adopters who bought the console at a premium.

Responding to said fans, Xbox UK marketing director Harvey Eagle said that while Microsoft was “hugely” appreciative of the fans who bought the console at launch, but “unfortunately we can’t offer a retroactive refund to people, but we thank them very much and we’re hugely appreciative of them being on board since the beginning.”

Did you buy Xbox One at launch? If so, do you feel shafted by the early price cut? Let me know in the comments below.
