While Sony’s PS4 will have a plethora of indie titles to choose from at launch — some free-to-play, others for a low price, gamers who purchase Xbox One will have to wait until next year to play some indie games on Microsoft’s new console, as confirmed by the firm’s Phil Harrison in an interview with GI.biz.
“I don’t think we’re going to see things at launch. I don’t think it’s realistic to see a developer get the programme and build a game and get it into the market on November 22. It’s reasonable to expect in early 2014 we’ll start seeing the first games come through,” Harrison said.
Xbox One launches on November 22nd in the U.S. and Europe. PS4 launches November 15th in the U.S., and on the 29th of the same month in Europe — and 33 other territories in 2013.
