Nintendo’s premium StreetPass games make £2.6m in a month

According to Satoru Iwata, the four paid-for StreetPass games on offer made the company 4$ million (£2.6m) more to be added to their money pool. Iwata revealed as much to Japanese news source Tokyo Keizai Online (translated by Siliconera).

Due to different pricing options, Iwata can’t get an exact figure for how many users paid for these games, but said that at least 200,000 had paid up.

The four games (StreetPass Squad, StreetPass Battle, StreetPass Garden and StreetPass Mansion) are priced £4.49 (5$) each or available together in a bundle for 15$, and became available in June. Playing the games scores you unique hats and clothing for your Mii avatar.
