Xbox One recently had its DRM policies stripped off, but this wasn’t enough. Forza 5, an Xbox One exclusive, will require a one-time connection to the internet, if you want to get all its content. Developer Turn 10′s Dan Greenwalt, talking to IGN about Forza 5, explains the situation.
“When you first boot up the game, we’re going to ask you to log in. And when you log in you’re going to get the Drivatars and you’re also going to get a bunch of content: tracks and cars. Our production schedule is such that we are putting them in as late as possible and that means making them free as downloadable content on Day One.”
This spells bad for disc-based users, more so for users who have no intention (or ability) of joining Xbox Live, and want to stay off-the-line. What say you, Gamesthirstians?
