You Can Now Buy PSN Items With Your Phone

You Can Now Buy PSN Items With Your Phone

Sony’s finally added mobile phone purchasing functionality to the PlayStation Network, which means you can now use your mobile phone to pay for content on the PlayStation Store.

When adding funds to your wallet, insert your mobile number when prompted, either through the Store on the PlayStation 3 or on the Sony Entertainment Network web store, and you’ll be sent a text message asking you to confirm the purchase by replying with the letter Y.

The top-up charge will appear on your next mobile phone bill or debited against your pre-paid account.

Said Gordon Thornton, vice president of Sony Network Entertainment Europe:

We are always looking at new ways to give our customers more choice in terms of content, accessibility and payment methods, and are pleased to be able to offer the option of mobile operator billing, which are becoming more and more popular.
