One month ago, an unknown console took to Kickstarter looking to raise $950,000 in funding to trigger a March 2013 launch, 30 days later, the console, named Ouya, has amassed over $8 million and 63,416 backers. It’s also enticed importan game publishers to become partners and before you knew it, another major console player was born. Details inside.

Throughout the past month, the console’s seen many updates, including support for four controllers, XMB support, partnerships with publishers such as Square-Enix, Namco Bandai just to name a few. The firm’s first exclusive game will be Human Element, the new IP from former Infinity Ward creative strategist Robert Bowling.
