It’s Too Early To Write Off Vita, Says Ubisoft

Assassin’s Creed III, Black Ops II, other big name games coming to platform this holiday season.

“It’s a really good platform and we’ve always liked it,” Ubisoft senior vice president of sales and marketing Tony Key told IGN. “The way it’s designed, it’s a beautiful piece of hardware. It’s got cool features that you can’t get anywhere else. And Assassin’s Creed, we believe, is the right type of game for that system. It’s definitely too early to say that Vita’s not going to be a success.”

He added: “Assassin’s Creed III is not the only big Vita game coming this holiday, and I think that’s a good thing.

We’re actually very happy that there’s another big Vita game coming for Christmas from a competitor because we think that will raise all boats. It’s going to generate a lot of interest in the Vita this holiday season. Sony’s going to be spending a lot of money and resources to make sure that the Vita is there and it’s relevant and it’s doing well.”

    needs some new IPs though!
$ony needs to convince ubisoft to do a tie in story for blacklist exclusive to the vita!
have it a story that links the ending of conviction up to the events of black list.
need a ghost recon game on the vita too.
ashphult 7 needs to be released on there too, its looking so much better than the previous series!

Nick you know there’s a Ghost Recon game coming to the Vita right? It’s called Ghost Recon Final Mission. Also I want to ask you guys, Is Little Deviants worth getting? I’m getting my Vita in 5 days and now i’m starting to reconsider my selection of games I’m going to get (Resistance Burning Skies, WipEout 2048, also probably Little Deviants if it’s getting good reviews from you guys, and probably Uncharted Golden Abyss.)

just because a retailer lists it does not mean its true.
EB NZ have a listing for alan wake 2 for the vita and we know thats never going to happen!
little deviants was ok, really frustrating though.
some levels you will get stuck on for days and wont be able to do any other levels until that one is finished because you dont have enough stars.
you have to repeat allot of levels to gain more stars too so it gets a bit boring.
depends on what you like though if you enjoy those types of minigames than its not a bad game.
much better off with something like escape plan or when mutant blobs attack though.

    Are Lego games that good?
Don’t get me wrong I love Lego Games, I loved Harry Potter and the such, but i’m skeptical for paying 40$ for a Lego game.

well theres not exactly many other vita games out ATM so theres not really much choice.
the last lego batman game was allot of fun so im looking forward to its sequel!
just put gravity daze and uncharted golden abyss on your list, after that its really up to you because the rest are pretty mediocre.
unit 13 was pretty good, been out for a few months too so you might be able to find it cheap.

O, and if you havent played rayman origins on ps3 than you have to get that for the vita!
ps3 version is better, so you would be better off getting it on ps3 probably cheaper too.
but if not its still allot of fun on the vita.

Thanks nick, but I would rather buy Rayman Origins on the Vita. Because my TV sucks, it’s a CRT tv that is 22-32 inches diagonally with horizontal layering problems. So that 5 inch, HD PS Vita screen is much better. Also, I will get Gravity Rush too now. So that makes my games to: WipEout, GR, Unit 13 (saw one for around 15$), Little Deviants, Pluzar, AR Tanks, Super Star Dust, and Mortal Kombat. Thanks guys! Only 4 more days too me getting a Vita and becoming part of the community!
