Following four years of consecutive losses at Sony, company executives like Sir Howard Stringer and Worldwide boss Kaz Hirai have returned bonuses paid to them by the firm, and have also taken pay cuts.
Although it’s not clear how much was cut from the executives pay, The Independent is reporting that seven of the top echelon at Sony saw their pay checks slashed and have agreed to return their bonuses.
This follows a report from Nikkei claiming Nintendo will cut its executive bonuses by 20 percent after the company saw its first loss in history earlier this year, and continued poor sales performance.

better question is why were they given them in the first place?
this is not exactly a shock, its not like nintendos position where FY losses were more of a surprise!
its been happening for years for crying out loud!
as peter said the other day, $ony really need to stop spending money like a 16 year old spoiled brat with daddys CC!
LOL. Sony’s not exactly broke, you know that, right?
The stock’s looking bad but the firm’s got good cash in the bank and on hand.
where did i say they were?
just pointing out how careless and reckless they are with what they have!
