Although Modern Warfare 3 is currently ruling the Xbox Live activity chart, Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is taking care of business. In fact, the game’s second only to Call of Duty games, beating out Battlefield 3 to become the fourth most popular game on Xbox Live.

how else do you explain 7 of the top 10 games played on the system are shooters?
and 2 of those are the most popular franchises, much more popular then some of the other shooters.

You know, PS3′s just the same. The bestselling game on PS3 of all time is….guess what….Call of Duty: Black Ops… I”m sure MW3 will overtake it.

theres a reason why every 360 exclusive shooter sells pretty well, and every 360 exclusive non shooter struggles to sell anywhere near it!
