Dead Space 3 Abandons Space Ship For “Icy Planet”,

It’s a save bet to assume EA and Visceral Games are hard at work on yet another Dead Space title, as the second, Dead Space 2, saw both critical and retail success. And so we’re starting to learn some rather interesting tidbits about the upcoming horror-shooter, the biggest being it’ll leave the spaceship setting for an icy planet.

The icy planet is called Tau Volantis, and it is there Isaac will apparently find himself braving through blizzard-like conditions after crash-landing on the said planet.

While trying to make his way through an abandoned waystation for shelter, Isaac encounters another survivor who then tells him of other survivors who fled the scene.

In Dead Space 3, Isaac gets reacquainted with Ellie of Dead Space 1 fame before encountering a new enemy known as “The Hive Mind”.

The source for all this news is the same one who accurately leaked EA’s Syndicate.

Thanks, Siliconera.

    sorry, final boss battle.
that hints that the necromorphs will be allot larger then what they were in the original, and have telepathic abilities.
one things for sure though, they need to turn up the horror!
DS was creepy, not scary but creepy.
DS2 was still creepy, but no where near as much as the original!
they need to really play on the insanity card too.
like what alan wake does, you play through levels then the game says they were not real just a dream, then says or were they?
where DS2 just did a few cut scenes, they really could of enforced issac going crazy allot more then what they did.
