by Ernice Gilbert on July 18th, 2011, under Activision, Hot, News

Despite EA going hard and all out against Activision’s Modern Warfare 3 with their own shooter, Battlefield 3, UK retailer GAME has said the Infinity Ward shooter is on track to outsell Call of Duty: Black Ops.

“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 pre-orders are already tracking significantly ahead of Call of Duty: Black Ops at the same time last year,” GAME group MD Tom Devine told MCV.

“We know that the Call of Duty brand and franchise has the most amazing fan-base and we’ve got some great surprises lined up for those who pre-order with us.”

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will launch on November 8th worldwide for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

not really, only recently has it gone so big.
the first 2 were ok, but 3 was utter tripe!
only since ditching the WW2 setting has it become so popular.
MoH was more popular then COD was, so was battlefield.
    how quickly things change!
