Tretton Is Not Too Sure If PS Vita Will Release In All Regions Before 2012

Gamers are kin when it comes to the release of PS Vita, as they’ll like to know if the handheld console will release early in their region. But SCEA president Jack Tretton has cast doubt on the prospect of a simultaneously worldwide release, instead he said PS Vita will release worldwide in this fiscal year, ending March of 2012.

When asked by Game Trailers Geoff Keighley if the console would ship this year, Tretton said “yes,” referring to the company’s fiscal year.

This means some regions won’t get PS Vita until next year, however Tretton wasn’t specific concerning who’ll get it first.
