These are busy times for videogame releases. First you had Killzone 3, Bulletstorm and Homefront all releasing within days of each other. And tomorrow, Crysis 2 goes on sale.
But taking a closer look at Amazon, you’d think it would be Crytek’s shooter positioned at number 1, instead it’s Valve’s Portal 2.
The charts reveal the PS3 version currently sitting at number 1 while the Xbox 360′s at number 2. Crysis 2 for Xbox 360′s in the third spot.
Amazon does not tell the full story, but it’s definitely a look into the buying habits of gamers, and the fact that Portal’s so high on the list is amazing, especially in the midst of Crysis 2.
It’ll change, of course, but as of now, Valve’s puzzle game’s ruling the charts.

i hate cause it was a waste of money, stupid gameplay, stupid story, story was short as crap, puzzles were dumb who wants to shit holes in walls all day, and the worst ever ending boss and easiest boss ive beaten. VALVE CAN SHOVE IT!!!! this is literally the worst game ive ever played and ive played alot of crappy games. thats why im not coning anywhere portal 2

I absolutely love Portal. I have been a fan of puzzle games for a long time and when they made this game, I was so excited and it did not let me down. The thing I liked about it the most was how it came into being. It is spiritual successor to a game called Narbacular Drop. Narbacular Drop was created by a bunch of college kids and valve hired these students to create portal, which has the same concept and type of gameplay. I know it was short, but it was not created to be a full length game. Also, i really loved the story because it fit into the Half-life universe and I am really excited to see how far they take it into that universe. The game is definitely not for everyone, but I loved it.

the puzzles were too simple though, i thought and wanted them to be like darksdiers where each puzzle is made up of multiple smaller puzzles.
like the lift level, you have to get the blocks, then correctly arrange them on one platform, then the other, then the other to get to where you need to go.
each puzzle was a combination of smaller puzzles.
but portal was too simple, it was move this block there, and wallah your done!
