Microsoft is in San Fransisco holding its annual Xbox event, a venue the software firm usually unveil its biggest 360 offerings. So far, all we’ve heard come out of the show that’s been significant, is the release date of Gears of War 3, and the game’s multiplayer beta that’s happening mid-April. But senior producer of Microsoft’s interactive entertainment business, Kevin Unangst, has said the hardcore crowd shouldn’t be worried, as 2011 will be “an incredible year” for hardcore gamers on Xbox 360.
“Hardcore gamers are where it started and absolutely, we’ve got Gears, great games like Homefront, Batman: Arkham City… if you like core games – and I’m a core gamer – this is going to be an incredible year,” said the exec, adding: “what you’re seeing here today is just the beginning.”
Unangst also said in the same interview that Gears of War 3 is a “massive” game for Xbox 360 in 2011.
Thanks, CVG.

9 months without a shit, good try.
What the heck is this guy rambling about? Good year for the xbox 360 hardcore? Is he crazy>?
i dont care about xbox
so i guess the MS conference tonight was a big let down.
how can it be when the core audience has only 2 games to choose from?
unless M$ are going to release 10 amazing new exclusives at E3 this year, there in serious shit!
cant believe how bloody stupid they are, they had a massive core audience and they threw them away for a few casual sheep.
M$ = the biggest marketing mistake the world has ever seen!
way to turn millions of future dollars, to a couple of future cents!
“way to turn millions of future dollars, to a couple of future cents!” haha
Yeah, that show wasn’t much. Epic Fail if you ask me.
