The only videos and screens we’ve seen of Crysis 2 thus far are from the Xbox 360 version. Crytek’s already said that the game’s being developed individually for each console and also for the PC, so expect some things to vary.
Things like graphics, of course, and other minor differences, but between the three versions, Crytek boss Cevat Yerli’s come out and said the PC’s own will be the best.
That’s what he said in the latest issue of Edge Magazine, adding that since the game’s now multiplatform, the budget is much bigger than it was for the first game, Crysis. So apart from console gamers getting to experience what was once a PC exclusive, PC gamers should rest easy, he says, because the bigger budget means better enhancements and added features and even added polish. According to him, “it isn’t just take, it’s also give”.
“You have to understand that the budget for Crysis was much lower than for Crysis 2,” he says. “We could spend much more on Crysis 2 because we expected to sell more through multiplatform development.”
“PC gamers will get a better game out of that, it isn’t just take, it’s also give,” he continued. Adding: “Crysis 2 doesn’t suffer from that, in my opinion. It’s superior [to Crysis] from every angle.”
Crysis 2 comes on on March 22nd in the U.S., and on the 25th of the same month on Europe.
Thanks, TSA.

so will it look better on the ps3 than xbox? from what ive seen the game looks amazing on xbox id be happy with that but even happier if it could be better
Yeah, it looks amazing on the Xbox 360. Remember they’re using CryEngine3, there own engine, so they must have some tricks. But if the PS3 is indeed more powerful than Xbox 360, and the game’s being built separately, then the PS3′s version should look better.
so thats why your only showing off 360 footage?
thats why you held a 360 only beta?
thats why only the 360 is getting a demo?
sorry crytek, but i was not born yesterday!
its so frustrating to see this.
PC fans have created crytek, they would not exist today if it was not for them!
so this is how they repay us?
im sick of PC gamers getting the short end of the stick!
Money’s the name of the game now. Though it’s really shameful.
The money bro, the money!
thats why i wish the industry stayed niche.
at least that way we would have developers making games for the passion, not for a quick buck.
its true, the more popular something gets the worse it gets!
That especially happens when companies go public, because if becomes making money for the devs now…..not making great games for the consumer.
