It would seem the analysts are on the same page concerning the holiday performance of the big three consoles. EEDAR’s the latest firm to release its estimates, and in the note, we find Nintendo’s Wii and the Xbox 360 leading the way, while PS3 comes in a distant third.

The NPD will release December’s numbers on Thursday but don’t expect to see much because as of recently, the firm decided to withhold hardware sales numbers for the American market. It’s now up to the big three to choose whether or not those numbers are released to the public.
I think that it is funny that people point out that xbox is beating ps3, but at one point, xbox had an 8 million console lead and not it is not to 3 or 4 million and ps3 has not even hit the magic $199 mark. If Sony drops the price to $199, then you will see a huge burst in sales with their game line up.

i had to laugh when i turned my PC on today and saw sony are suing the hackers.

sony would not sue unless they had some kind of proof. also, he did brake a few laws including black mail. Geohot told sony to give him a job or he would release the key, and that is black mail. He also hacked into their property. Yes, if he only did a mod on ps3, he would be fine, but he broke into their private network and stole the key, that is illegal.
Yeah, a lot of trouble’s brewing. We’ll be interesting to see how this all turns out.

he stole nothing, hacking consoles is completley legal it falls under the fair use act.
google the lawsuit apple threw against the hackers who jailbroke the Iphone, which funnily enough was actually the same guy who did the ps3!
and apple got laughed out of court, the judge threw the book at them and said jailbreaking a device you paid for is not illegal.
the same thing will happen here.
