Jesus the Christ.
When something’s good, the people come out in droves to prove, with their hard earned cash, that it’s indeed good.
Call of Duty: Black Ops, through massive advertising and word of mouth has proven it’s good. The game has sold over 7 million copies on its first day on sale to become the fastest selling games of all time, and one of, if not the biggest entertainment launch of all time. Activision’s done it again.
That’s according to VGChartz, citing early estimates, as the game had garnered over 4.5 million pre-orders.
No one ever thought Treyarch’s effort would beat out that of Infinity Ward, but it has, and that’s just astounding.
It’s a game I’ll buy on Thursday, and one all Games Thirst users should get online to have at.
Are you ready?

do not believe VGChartz.
VGChartz are mostly right, I think.
no.
99,9 wrong numbers.
exemple: when sony release the 1,5m Move sales VGChartz’s numbers was 500 000 sales.
I am not a fan of VGChartz. I will wait for official sales from NPD.
Okay, Still, if they’re even close, the numbers will still be awesome.
I don’t doubt that it sold near that, I just do not trust VGChartz.
Wow, you guys are really skeptical about VGCharts, we’ll have to wait and see, then.
I don’t think VG’s that bad, we’ll see.
Yeah other than a few bad estimates here and there, vgchartz is generally close. Then again some of those bad estimates are on huge products, PS Move for example as stated above.
.
The thing I like about them is that they give the numbers early for better or worse.
if there correct than wow!
was expecting it to sell well, but 7M copies in one god dam day!?
now thats how well uncharted 2 should of sold!
“now thats how well uncharted 2 should of sold!”
Couldn’t agree more, Nick.
