Demon’s Souls Help Make Atlus Profitable

by Ernice Gilbert on October 21st, 2010, under Atlus, Hot, News

It’s good to see yet another great game help its developer make a decent profit. Index Holdings, parent company of Atlus, has released its financial results for its fiscal 2010, which ended August 31. In it, the company explains how Demon’s Souls played a major role in raising its profits.

The firm reported that Atlus USA made ¥3.299 billion ($40.7 million) in sales for the year, a rise from ¥2.732 billion ($33.6 million) in 2009.

Also, the company posted an operating income of ¥407 million ($5 million), which stands in stark comparison to last year’s loss of ¥104 million ($1.2 million).

Awesome news, now Atlus, Demon’s Souls 2, eh?

Thanks, Siliconera.
