Sega doesn’t want Sonic to die, and with good reason. It’s the publisher’s biggest cash cow. Recently, the company has been talking about ways of keeping the franchise fresh and we thought part of the strategy would be to give the mascot a break.
Then expected disappointment slammed us right in the face: there’s another Sonic coming in 2011.
This according to Sega’s European vice president speaking to MCV in a recent interview. He said the titles they’re releasing next year will “allow us to focus on being healthy and profitable.”
“We know we have Sonic and Football Manager this year, a new Total War next year, and a new Sonic and Virtua Tennis next year. These are the kind of titles that will allow us to focus on being healthy and profitable,” he told the site.

im really enjoying it so far.
only thing im disappointed by is sonic takes donkeys years to get up too speed, and once you are it does not feel like your moving that fast.
playing the sonic games in the sega collection it feels like your running waaaaaaaaay faster!
hopefully in episode 2 they make sonic faster, and faster to get up too top speed.
than it will be the sonic game fans have been begging for.
