Since the Killzone 3 beta was announced, and it was made known that only 10,000 PS Plus members would be chosen to be part of the test, confusion arose causing many gamers anger to peak.
Some wondered how would Sony and Guerrilla Games handle this since there are so many regions in the world with thousands of Killzone fans.
They’ve found a simple solution.
“It’s actually 10,000 (beta places) for SCEE and 5,000 for SCEA,” Guerrilla Games Product Manager, Aryeh Loeb, confirmed through a comment on a SCEE blog post, (via PS3Center).
Why 10,000 thousand for our friends in Europe and 5,000 for us lowly Americans? I have no clue, but that’s what the man said.
We’ll keep you posted.

this is what frustrates me, but I am guessing because the company is based in Europe. The SCEE and SCEA may be owned under Sony, but they are run like different companies. So, SCEE may have gotten a deal with GG since they are a European company.
Yeah, very good observation there…
one thing people are forgetting.
SCEE covers how many countries?
SCEA only covers one.
so its only fair SCEE gets more codes than SCEA.
not to mention SCEA gets everything, so its about dam time SCEE gets the advantage!
Good point, Nick.
Yeah good points, guys! Another reason might be that there are about twice as many PS3s in the EU region compared to the US. Hence the 2:1 split of the 15000 beta keys.
Never even thought about that… I guess it’s justified, then.
