Gran Turismo 5 Is 10 Percent Away From Being The Real Driving Simulator Says Kazunori

by Ernice Gilbert on August 18th, 2010, under Hot, News, Polyphony Digital, Sony

Gran Turismo 5 is coming your way on November 2 in the US and on the 3rd in Europe. It’s actually breaking all speed limits to make it on time. But how far away is the game from being the real driving simulator? According to Polyphony Digital boss, Kazunori Yamauchi, it’s only 10 percent away.

“With GT5, how close are you to your goal of “The Real Driving Simulator?: the website asked, to which he replied: “90%.” “Well, 85-90%.”

Just in case you missed it, that’s 10 percent away from being the real driving simulator.

About lighting and weather, Yamauchi said “not on all tracks, but some” will include said features. And when asked if there were features missing that he’d like to add to the game, he said “yes”. “But there’s still time to work on things!”

There’s lots more through the link up top.

Lol. This game is now my most anticipated for 2010. LBP 2 is a close second. And there’s some multiplats that I’m considering as well.
