It’s true, although the Nintendo Wii’s still the front runner in the console sales department this generation, it’s losing steam. Many were skeptical about the company’s upcoming E3 showing when it was confirmed that they would not be unveiling what many called the Wii HD.
But for the legendary company, the media underestimates it too often. Hence the Nintendo 3DS.
Not only is the 3DS here to stay, it brought some buddies along for the ride – the company recently made a decision to patent virtually everything with “D” and “S.”
The patents include: DS Sound, DS Name Card, DS Magazine, DSMovie, DSCamera, and DSCinema – are 3DSWare and 3DSPlay.
Some of the patents ring obvious bells like, I’m assuming, 3DSWare will be something similar to DSiWare – only this time it’s in 3D?
Some of the others are less obvious, therefore I’ll wait until E3. You on the other hand can play the guessing game in the comments section.
Thanks, Siliconera.
