Street Fighter: The Legend Of Chun-Li Wins A ‘Rotten Tomatoes’ Award

by Colton West on January 14th, 2010, under Articles

This news makes me cringe with horror since I am one of the lucky few who haven’t set my eyes on this film. Why is that horrific then you might ask? Well with the new video game based movie review show coming up I would need to watch this and let’s just say the award it won isn’t a good one.

‘The Legend of Chun-Li’ was the “lucky” winner of Rotten Tomatoes’ Worst Reviewed Movie of The Year (2009). It only received a total of 4 percent positive scores and I think that might actually be worse then the 1994 Street Fighter movie. How sad.

Sadly Hollywood does not recognize the core fan base on the video game based movies and craps all over the audience.

This and the King of Fighters movie are perfect examples the film industry cares only about making money, not about pleasing fans and neither about being fateful to the source.

Why? I do not understand, who goes and sees those movies? THE FANS, ammirrite? then why change the story and characters so much until they become unrecognizable?
and only to suit some perverse studio executive or producer’s desire to tell an uninteresting story and showcase these “household” faces…

But hey, what do I know right? I’m just a tester.

Anyway, the KOF movie will bomb and hopefully get an award such as this street fighting turd.
