The ‘Games on Demand’ feature on the Xbox 360 was a very good idea on Microsoft’s part but what they did screw up on was the fact that the games on the service were priced so high that it would have been cheaper to buy a retail version in stores. Microsoft has smartened up slightly and lowered some of the prices.
That includes BioShock, Saints Row, MX vs. ATV Untamed, Prey and Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution, according to an update from Xbox Live’s Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb. Four of those five titles have been dropped to $19.99 USD for those of us spending that type of dollar. Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution will set you back $29.99.
Keep in mind that this price cut doesn’t apply to all areas so you will need to check yourself to see if it applies to your area.
I guess its cool, but I’ll always prefer a physical copy over a digital one.
Yeah I agree. I take pride in my collection and having digital copies just kind of messes with everything.
