In the aftermath of Nintendo’s holiday sales update, company president Satoru Iwata let out a few details regarding not only the next DS system but also on the release date for the upcoming Legend of Zelda game on the Wii.
According a report taken from Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun, the next DS system will contain a “high level of visual quality,” as well as motion sensors to detect player movements. Iwata mentioned the current DS lineup’s record sales in 2009, “so we are not currently talking about [the next handheld's release], so don’t be expecting the system any time soon.
On the Wii side of things, the paper also states that the newest Zelda game is expected to be released at the end of October this year. Now keep in mind that doesn’t mean we will be seeing it on our shores till 2011. Aside from the new Zelda game, the paper also mentions that Nintendo is releasing the Wii Vitality Sensor peripheral as soon as possible with pulse-reading games expected in July.

hmm improved graphics would be nice, but the whole motion detection thing? Idk. I mean it sounds cool and all, but do you really think your going to want to be moving around and doing motions like on the wii when your playing a portable system.
