Valve Gets Rid of Steam Controller’s Touch Pad, Replaces It With Actually Buttons

The Steam Controller will no longer feature a central touchscreen but a more familiar d-pad and four face buttons, Steam DB reports.

The site also reported that the controller will use AA batteries, rechargeable or regular. It’s also been revealed that it will include gyroscopes, but said feature’s yet to be implemented.

And of course there’ll be more changes made before the controller releases alongside the army of Steam Machines hitting the market this year.
