9 per team, up to 18 for next-gen Call of Duty.
YouTube user Ali-A (Matroix) posted a video unboxing the Prestige Edition of Call of Duty: Ghosts. In the video (1:18 mark) he also confirms that the Xbox One version, and most likely also the PS4 one, will support 9 players per team and 18 overall.
Although most likely a design choice, with the small maps and twitch action of Call of Duty in mind, only 9 players per team doesn’t sound too next-gen to some people’s ears. What are your thoughts?
