Prepare to die again, with many modifications to the past system.
Steve O’Donnell, the host of Australia’s Good Game, played Dark Souls II and shared his thoughts on Twitter. He stated that it’s now much harsher when it comes to dying and multiplayer.
Whereas in past games your health only dropped to a certain point after death, now it can go even more down every time you die. And to make things even more difficult, co-op will have a time limit, with summoning stones having different time values, from five minutes onwards.
Then, we have a change that has everyone, including me, scratching their heads. You can now be invaded while in undead form, something that never was available before. When people wanted to play online, but avoid being invaded and live with the health penalty, now they can’t.
A trailer was also shown, to sweeten the bitter changes.
