Apple Finally Files For iWatch Trademark

The rumors have abound concerning Apple and an elusive iWatch it’s apparently helming. But today said rumors can be laid to rest, as the reality of an Apple smartwatch is now here.

Apple applied for an iWatch trademark in Japan, and according Engadget, other companies have filed for the same trademark in the past, although this particular one was specifically applied for by Apple Inc. of Cupertino.

We don’t know if it’ll turn out to be a success, but if we’re to go by Apple’s recent track record, we have a clear indication as to what to expect. We hear the iWatch will feature a full version of iOS, a flexible AMOLED display intended to be worn around the wrist, and could be released later this year.

Plan on getting one?
