Battlefield 4 Now Runs At 60 Frames Per Second Just Like Call of Duty, But Infinity Ward Isn’t Worried

With the industry moving to new consoles that are capable of achieving way more than their predecessors, DICE announced at Microsoft’s E3 2013 press conference that Battlefield 4 would run at 60fps on the new machines. When asked about that announcement and whether Infinity Ward felt threatened by it,  Chance Glasco, senior animator at Infinity Ward said they weren’t fazed by the revelation at all. In fact, Glasco thinks its good for DICE’s games because 60fps will make them more fluid.

We’ve always felt that was the standard. It doesnt really change how we think. It’s good for their games. It’s going to make them feel more fluid. It’s always been our standard and we’re going to keep it.

Well, what do you guys think? Should Infinity Ward start shaking in their boots, or is DICE making Battlefield more and more like Call of Duty pose a risk to its originality? Share your thoughts.

Thanks, Videogamer.

COD will always be a monster and as soon as they add dedicated servers…..I may enjoy their multiplayer again. Oh..they added a dog? Innovation is just pouring out of these guys. Here comes Ernice’s perfect to near perfect score. Hahaha. Sorry man.

The review will be fear and balanced bro haha! Let’s see what they come up with this time. As it stands, I’m a bit tired of current gen shooters…. Things like Destiny intrigue me.

  • rpatricky

I hear you on that. Destiny looks pretty good.

I meant fair and balance. Forgive me, I’m drunk from typing…

You act like it was a week full of gaming news or something? Disregard comment downgrades. The reply is way too close and my finger wasn’t sharp enough to hit the reply correctly.

Looks good to me. Too bad EA and Reapawn hitched their wagon to Xbox One with Titanfall. Sou ds like they may regret it and we could see a Titanfall release on PS4 sooner than later.

Yeah, although, to be honest, I wasn’t super impressed. It looked good don’t get me wrong, but I wasn’t going all mental over it. We’ll see.
