It’s Getting Closer: Sony Exec Talks About PS4 Announcement In May Or June

I’ve already warned you, Games Thirst, you guys need to start saving up on cash now, because before you can blink, E3 2013 will be here and Sony and Microsoft would have unveiled their new machines. We now have more evidence of Sony’s plans.

Speaking to Chile news site El Mercurio On-Line at CES, Sony Home Entertainment vice president Hiroshi Sakamoto basically confirmed PlayStation 4. Seriously…

When asked by the website if Sony had any significant announcements to make regarding consoles this year, Sakamoto said:

It’s still a big secret, but our Sony PlayStation friends are getting ready. I only can say that we’re focused on the games related E3 event, booked for June. The announcement can take place there or even before, in May.

The site pressed a bit harder, asking whether it was something complimentary or a big reveal. Sakamoto divulged on:

Probably the first, we plan to release big news for this date, but we have to wait at least until May.

The heat is on, folks. Clash of the titans starts in May, are you ready?
